Week of May 7th & May 14th, 2018

Learning Plan:

 

Writing: (One Piece a Day.)

I can utilize writing strategies to develop a quality writing piece.

Focus Task:

Pieces: Lichen Analysis, Final correspondence to France, Solar System Weight, Memoir.

 

Social Studies: (One Conference a Day.)

I can identify the distinguishing characteristics between governments and understand the rationale for the development of a democracy.

Focus Task:

Begin developing your government initiative by addressing and sharing your understanding of four questions.

 

Math: 

I can demonstrate my understanding of division and fractions.

I can demonstrate my understanding of polygons

Focus Task #1:

Build a dome with triangles in circles.

Focus Task 2: 

Academic Race (21 Elements)

Focus Task #3:

Cignition : Wednesday and Thursday for 15 minutes. (Can be completed at home for the remainder of the year.)

 

Science: (One Conference a Day.)

I can demonstrate my understanding of phenology.

Focus Task:

Develop your phenology initiative .

Focus Task #2:

Share your understanding of the filter.

    Dear Oysters,

    Begin composing your Lichen Analysis. Included should be:
    a Six Word Novel as your Headline.
    at least three paragraphs.
    your thoughts on the experience.
    your analysis of the environment based on the lichen you identified.
    value if any in the experience.
    at least two vocabulary words.
    three transitional phrases.
    descriptive language (adjectives, verbs etc.)

    All writing correspondences to France must be completed before addressing your learning plan.

    Review problems will be addressed before moving to writing. If you are not responsible for review problems, you are to address your phenology graph.
